PlayPause is a cloud-based video collaboration platform where studios, agencies, and freelance editors collect frame-accurate feedback, manage versions, lock approvals, and deliver final cuts — without the overhead of enterprise pricing.
The Problem We Solve
If you’ve ever worked in post-production, you know the routine. A client sends revision notes buried in a WhatsApp thread. Your editor screenshots a timecode and emails it back. Someone uploads V7_final_FINAL to a Google Drive folder that three people can’t access. By the time you get approval, you’ve lost a day to back-and-forth that had nothing to do with the actual edit. Existing video review tools solve parts of this, but the good ones are expensive — often $25 to $50 per user per month before you even factor in storage overages. For smaller studios, independent editors, and agencies in markets like the Middle East and South Asia, those numbers don’t work. PlayPause exists because we think every video team deserves professional-grade review and approval tools, not just the ones backed by billion-dollar parent companies.
Our Story
PlayPause was founded in 2024 by Saumyajit Maity and Sagnik Ghosh, under Acquired Green Ventures LLC, based in Sharjah, UAE. Before PlayPause, we’d spent years building SaaS products and management platforms for industries ranging from construction to healthcare. Through that work, we kept running into the same friction point with every client who shipped video content: the review cycle was always the bottleneck. Not the editing. Not the creative. The back-and-forth. We looked at what was available. Frame.io (now owned by Adobe) is the industry leader, but its pricing has moved steadily upmarket. Vimeo’s review tools are tacked onto a hosting platform. Wipster, Ziflow, Filestage — each solves a piece of the puzzle, but none of them felt built from the ground up for the specific workflow of video review and approval at a price that makes sense for working professionals. So we built PlayPause. Not as a stripped-down clone, but as a platform designed around four things: frame-accurate collaboration, airtight version control, serious cloud infrastructure, and honest pricing.

Every comment in PlayPause is pinned to a specific frame. Reviewers can draw directly on the video, leave timestamped notes, and tag team members — all visible in a unified thread. No more “around the 2-minute mark” guesswork. This is how professional post-production feedback works: precise, contextual, and instantly visible to everyone on the project.
Version Stacking & Side-by-Side Compare
Upload a new cut and it stacks automatically against previous versions. Lock approvals on a specific version so there’s no ambiguity about what’s final. Use the side-by-side compare view to scrub through two versions frame-by-frame — useful for color grading reviews, VFX checks, and final QC before delivery.
Camera-to-Cloud Uploads
Sync footage from set directly to PlayPause’s cloud. Producers and clients can start reviewing dailies before the crew wraps. This isn’t just about speed — it collapses the gap between production and post-production, which means faster turnarounds and fewer surprises in the edit bay.
