Most revision clauses fail because they count rounds but never define them. A line like "includes two rounds of revisions" sounds protective, but it collapses the first time a client sends ten scattered comments over four days and calls it "one round."

Feedback submitted after a round is approved, or after the feedback window closes, constitutes a new round and is billed at the hourly rate in Schedule A.

  • "Consolidated" stops the client from treating each individual comment as its own round
  • The feedback window prevents a round from staying open indefinitely
  • The billing rate reference removes the awkward negotiation later

Define What Counts as a Revision vs. New Scope

The second-biggest source of disputes is the line between a revision and a new request. Changing a lower-third color is a revision. Re-cutting the edit to a different song or reworking the narrative is new scope.
